  • President: Merrie Goodlander ’08

Merrie, a graduate of the Class of 2008, has fond memories of her time as a Mercy student. She explored various opportunities at Mercy by participating in activities such as acting in a school play, joining clubs like SADD and International Club, and playing field hockey. She managed the JV basketball team, hosted students as a PR intern, and led her freshman and sophomore classes as a Field Day captain. Her passion for student government led her to take on numerous roles throughout high school. These experiences prepared her for her undergraduate years at Saint Joseph’s University, where she earned a B.S. in marketing with a minor in art history.

Now living in Delaware with her husband Bill, Merrie works as the director of marketing for a professional trade organization focusing on corporate events and digital marketing. She continues to embody the spirit of Catherine McAuley by utilizing her leadership and hospitality skills in her work on Mercy’s Alumnae Association Executive Board and The Junior League of Wilmington. She particularly enjoys participating the Alumnae Memorial Liturgy and Garnet Gala.

“Mercy shaped me into the women I am today and blessed me with cherished memories and friendships. I hope to contribute the formation of Future Mercy Girls and give back to all generations of my Mercy sisters.”
