Athletic Training Update

Week of September 28-October 2

The schedule for fall practices for the week of 9/28 is as follows:

Monday 9/28

Field Hockey 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Soccer  4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Tuesday 9/29

Cross Country – 4:00 PM – 5:30PM

Wednesday 9/30

Soccer 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

Volleyball – 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Thursday 10/1

Cross Country – 4:00 PM – 5:30PM

Friday 10/2

Volleyball – 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Field Hockey – 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Practice days are subject to change depending on sign-ups for each sport. It is our goal to create a safe training environment for our student athletes so we may have to re-evaluate practice days based on participation numbers. For the time being all teams will be outside training until further notice.  

Listed below are specific roles and responsibilities of players and parents before during and after practices. Thank you for reading and reviewing these thoroughly.  

Roles and Responsibilities of Players


  • All training gear must be properly cleaned and sanitized before practice – no sharing of any gear of equipment
  • Have your parent check your temperature
  • Pack all equipment needed for your sessions
  • Wear mask when exiting car and entering Sisters of Mercy Field
  • Carpooling should be avoided


  • Use hand sanitizer before entering the field
  • Keep mask on until entering the turf
  • Enter field only through designated entrance
  • Place equipment physically distanced from teammates’ equipment
  • Wait for instructions to begin
  • No spitting on field


  • Listen to the coach about dismissal
  • Put mask on before leaving training area
  • Leave through designated exit
  • Use hand sanitizer upon exit
  • Leave immediately, go right to car or ride.  Do not congregate of socialize in parking lot
  • When you arrive home, wash hands thoroughly, clean your clothing and disinfect your training gear before next session

Roles and Responsibilities of Parents


  • All training gear bust be properly cleaned and sanitized
  • Complete temperature check – if above 100.4 please email your coach immediately and do not have daughter attend
  • Pack all equipment needed for your daughter’s session as there is no sharing of water or gear
  • Drop daughter off at designated entrance to field – make sure daughter is wearing mask upon entering field
  • Carpooling should be avoided


  • Follow any drop off rules associated with Mercy
  • Ensure your daughter uses hand sanitizer before session
  • Parents should be back five minutes before session is over to pick child up


  • Pick up your daughter and leave promptly – no congregating or socializing – practice physical distancing
  • Use hand sanitizer and ensure your child daughter too
  • Upon returning home, promptly wash your hands and ensure daughter child does as well; clean her clothing and disinfect her training gear prior to next session

Field Hockey, Soccer, and Volleyball will meet on Sisters of Mercy Field for each practice. 

Cross Country will meet in the plaza of the Sisters of Mercy Field.
