Bring Your Own Windows Device Program - Class of 2027
Students may choose to bring any Windows laptop that meets the specifications outlined below. Please note that Chromebooks and Apple devices are not permitted, even if they can run Windows OS.

We have customized a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 with specifications to ensure students will have a fast, capable, reliable device. If you are interested in purchasing this model, you may order through Mercy to take advantage of our volume-purchase arrangement with the vendor.

Devices purchased through Mercy will be distributed at freshman orientation.
Windows Device Minimum Specifications
Operating System: Windows 10 or 11
Processor: 1.7 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
Memory: 8 GB or greater
Storage: 256 GB or greater, SSD is preferred
Software
All software is included in student tuition/fees and will be installed on student devices at freshman orientation. Mercy’s IT staff will provide and install Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Webroot antivirus, and Intune management software.
Accessories
Students are expected to carry their laptops in a protective sleeve or case. These can be purchased from your choice of retailer and can be any school-appropriate design. As an alternative, you may choose to add a Lenovo-branded sleeve to your device order. Students will also need a set of headphones or earbuds for listening to audio. While not required, some students find it helpful to use a portable mouse.
